Bogor botanical gard

Bogor botanical garden is the first botanical garden in Indonesia. It lies in the heart of Bogor. There are 2 orchid houses near the café. The newer one is full with commercial orchids such as phalaenopsis, dendrobium, and cattleya. The older one contains the ingenious orchids from rainforests all over Indonesia. Most of these orchids are smaller and they don’t bloom as often as the commercial ones, but they smell very nice. Another unique spot to see is the lotus ponds. They are hardly to miss because there are a few ponds scattered in this garden. The oldest Botanical Garden in Indonesia from around 1815. Still beautiful but really need some basic improvement : garden map covering point of interests, routes etc, clean toilets, dust bins, clear signs, tour guides, etc. The traffic to main entrance could be so bad during Sunday and holiday. So please be aware on your schedule. Still found many visitors smoking inside the garden, ruined the experience. Some of the board containing information of the point of interest already worn out and we cannot read it. Located in centre of bogor, botanical garden easy to find in regular traffic condition. 84 Ha area of botaninical garden have a various theme park. Although it is named Taman Anggrek Indonesia Permai (TAIP), it is not a park or garden per se (taman is bahasa Indonesia for garden). TAIP is the place where you can buy many kinds of orchids! If you like orchids, you will not get bored in Taman Anggrek Indonesia Permai. You will find various types of orchids here, from the popular ones such as phaleonopsis and dendrobium, to the classic such as catleya, and the trending one from Brazil. The vendors relayed that the present trend is people prefer orchids fresh from the forest, which looks are very rare and have sweet-scent. Naturally, they are expensive. Sadly, the street sign to TAIP is almost nonexistent. Taman Bunga Nusantara

This flower garden is one of the best we visited. One thing that was beyond our imagination was that it is concealed deep in Puncak area down in the valley with very poor access roads! But we got there, the garden was awesome with varieties of flowers from domestic and overseas. The blooms and blossoms of the varieties created lovely scenery where can pick any spot for selfie. However, the garden is located in the valley of the heights/Puncak making it a bit warmer especially during sunshine. The garden is actually accessible on foot around the paths among the flowers. This area is very huge and has many things to see. There are many flowers and it seemed like heaven on earth. The park is clean and beautiful. With the size of 3 hectares, it is a suitable to eradicate stresses and enjoy the fresh air.
