【Ancient Village - Liushigang Village】

On September 14, 2024, I visited Liushigang Village in Changping District. I recently learned about this village. In fact, I have been to some villages around it, such as Xinkai Village, Wayao Village, Gaoya Village, Qipanshan Scenic Area, etc. Now there are large areas of sunflowers planted in the village. On this day, under the blue sky and white clouds, looking down from the hillside, the idyllic scenery is like a painting, intoxicating. When I arrived in the village, it was already noon. The sunflowers were bending over as if to apologize to us. As the sunflowers were bending over, I had to get close to them to capture their little smiles. The photos taken on the hillside in the village are basically green. At present, the pedestrian walkway on the east side of the village has been completed, and the west side is still under construction. Most of the terraced fields have also been repaired, and some villagers are still repairing them. After returning home, I did some research: Liushigang Village was built during the Jiaqing period. In 1947, the Chinese Communist Party's grassroots party branch was established. Now there are temples and large enterprises near the village (currently idle). Due to time constraints, we only visited the sunflower garden at the foot of the village. If I have the opportunity in the future, I will visit the village and its surroundings again. The air is fresh in the deep mountains of Beijing, and the blue sky and white clouds on the day added color to our trip. The beautiful scenery of the harvest season is always a joy. To get to Liushigang Village by public transportation, take bus No. 33 to the village entrance, get off and walk 2 kilometers to enter the village. Bus No. 17 can take you directly to the village from Gaoya Village, but this bus only runs three times a day.
