Changsha One-Day Tour｜Meixi Lake Cultural District City Walk

I like all-free tourist attractions, and planned a one-day trip to Meixi Lake for the design-conscious buildings. The shopping malls are concentrated near the Cultural and Art Center station. The lakeside scenery is beautiful and the commercial level is low. It takes about 11 kilometers to walk around. Cycling and walking will give you a better experience~ - ◾️Lanxiu City A relatively large shopping mall by the lake, with many restaurants and beverage shops, as well as Walmart. You can buy some food and drinks before touring the lake, which is equivalent to going camping! It would be better to order milk tea in advance, although you still have to queue up - ◾️Meixi Lake Culture and Art Center Grand Theater Designed by Zaha Architects, it will be completed in 2019. Architecture students came to visit and felt that the originally white building facade had become old and dusty after being exposed to wind and rain. It might be that the facade modules were not aligned during design or cost saving or poor control during construction. The flaws in the lines of the shape are a bit hard to ignore. - ◾️Meixi Lake Chinese Knot Bridge A very colorful and landmark pedestrian bridge, the color is very bright on sunny days, but the bridge body has become a bit old after being exposed to the sun and rain without repainting. The up and down stairs and slope make the structure of the bridge special, and it is interesting to walk on it. The bridge itself is located in a residential area. If you want to take a photo of the big blue sky that goes viral on the Internet, you need to remove it in post-production, but the parts are also very beautiful~ - ◾️Meixi Lake City Island Built in 2015, 35m high and three-story structure. After reaching the top, it serves more like a viewing platform, as a small landmark decorating the shore of Meixi Lake. There are not many commercial facilities around, and the structure itself is not very playable.
