Millennium Academy: Yuelu Academy

After descending from Yuelu Mountain, you can enter Yuelu Academy through the back gate by purchasing a ticket. Yuelu Academy (Admission ¥40) is known as a thousand-year-old academy. Established during the Song Dynasty, it has undergone changes through various dynasties and is now affiliated with Hunan University. If you want to experience the atmosphere of this ancient institution, be prepared for large crowds of tour groups. However, the academy itself doesn't house many historical artifacts, so you can only imagine the scale of ancient academies through its architectural structure. It might not be worth spending time visiting inside.
