Changshu: Enjoy a slow-paced urban getaway at the Nikko Hotel

I stayed at the Nikko Hotel Changshu for one night during my trip this weekend. The hotel is located on the shore of Kuncheng Lake, close to the Changshu Aranya project, making it ideal for a staycation. The hotel is easily accessible from the main road. The hotel lobby has a two-story high ceiling, with a huge crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, echoing the rockery and flower beds in the atrium. The rest area shows a business style while matching relaxing colors. The restaurant area cleverly divides the space, freeing up the lobby bar while making the buffet restaurant more open. The inner tables and more private rooms serve as a Japanese restaurant providing more exquisite service. Take the independent elevator to the second floor, and the corridor outside the banquet hall undulates forward. The Chinese restaurant uses small and intricate colored lights to illuminate the low-key dark red, and the private rooms also reveal a sense of stability. The hotel's third floor is the fitness area. The gym has separate aerobic and anaerobic areas, and the heated swimming pool reflects the deck chairs by the pool. This floor also has an outdoor terrace and an indoor parent-child area, which is also connected to the hotel's apartment side, making it easy to enter and exit. This time, I stayed in the hotel's lake-view room. In the evening, you can see the sunset over the lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The guest room's bathroom area has a dry and wet separation design. The smart toilet is equipped with small bottles of toiletries, and the bathtub is located independently next to the washbasin, with switchable electric glass to ensure privacy. The welcome message is displayed on the TV in the guest room. The bedside lamp next to the large bed is unique. The warm yellow light jumps in the paper tube-like lampshade. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful Kuncheng Lake whether you are sitting on the sofa by the window or at the desk. In the evening, I tasted the hotel's Southeast Asian-themed buffet. I especially loved the mud crabs in the seafood section and the Singaporean chicken rice in the hot dish section. I also had lamb chops and baby lobsters. The next day, I got up early to catch the train back to Shanghai. Fortunately, the hotel's breakfast started at 6am, so I could have a hot meal before setting off. Last but not least, the hotel's five different colored room cards are really beautiful and worth collecting. See you next time.
