Tongyang Old Street

Tongyang Old Street is located in Tongyang Town, Chaohu City, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It was built in the Chunxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The building is T-shaped, 200 meters long from east to west and 150 meters long from north to south. There are more than 300 ancient dwellings and shops from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Most of the buildings are made of blue bricks and tiles, with a layout of shops in the front and workshops in the back. It is the hometown of the legendary general Li Kenong, and the famous sociologist Fei Xiaotong once inscribed the words "Tongyang River, an ancient town in Jianghuai" for it. The old street has historical sites such as Li Hongzhang's pawnshop, old street well, and notice stone tablet.
