Cheonan double cherry blossom spots are here 🩷

Cheonan Gakwonsa Temple is famous for its gorgeous double cherry blossoms every spring. In particular, the abundant appearance of the Suwa cherry blossoms attracts many people.  As of April 17, 2025, the double cherry blossoms are about 60% in bloom, and it is expected to be in full bloom that weekend. Since the double cherry blossoms bloom about two weeks later than regular cherry blossoms, the best time to see them is from mid to late April.  In the grounds of Gakwonsa Temple, double cherry blossoms are beautifully in bloom around the main buildings such as Daeungbojeon and the Bronze Buddha, making them great for taking a walk and appreciating. In particular, the Suwa cherry blossoms are popular as a photo spot because they have abundant flower buds hanging from drooping branches.  You can park at Parking Lot 1 near Taejosanru and Parking Lot 2 near Sangam Reservoir. It can be crowded on weekends, so it is recommended to visit early.
