[Nagano] Introducing Mishaka Pond, the model for a famous painting, with its autumn leaves

Mishaka Pond is located in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. It was originally developed as an agricultural reservoir, but the way the lake reflects the scenery of the four seasons like a mirror is so beautiful that it was the model for Kaii Higashiyama's "Green Echoes". The name Mishaka is said to come from the fact that a religious ceremony was held in this area in which deer were shot to be offered to the gods.
