Chongqing People's Auditorium!

#AsiaTravelRecord The Chongqing People's Grand Ceremony Hall is a building used for political and cultural events in the center of Chongqing, China. The construction of the Chongqing People's Grand Ceremony Hall was promoted by Deng Xiaoping, who was the first Secretary of the Southwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China at that time. It began in June 1951 and was completed in April 1954. The building is divided into three smaller parts, located in the east, south, and north, in addition to the Great Hall. The total area is 66,000 m2. The Great Hall is 18,500 m2. It is 65m high. The round dome-shaped roof is 55m high and has an internal diameter of 46.33m. The Great Hall is surrounded by five tiers of auditorium and can accommodate 4,200 people. The building is symmetrical, including the columns and wings. The building can also be seen from People's Square in front of it. The opposite side of the square is the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum.
