From Shenzhen to Bishan, Chongqing: A Photographer's Healing Diary

🌅 At 6 a.m., I woke up in my hotel room in Jiangbei District, Chongqing. The city was still shrouded in the morning mist unique to this mountainous region. As a photographer📸 who had worked in Shenzhen for five years, I chose Chongqing—a magical city of intertwined light and shadow🏙—as my first stop after resigning. But today, my destination was not the brightly lit Hongyadong🎆, nor the Liziba light rail passing through buildings🚇, but the Yi Nian Yi Wang Homestay in Bishan District, Chongqing, a place a friend called "a photographer's healing paradise"💖. 🚗 The taxi ride from Jiangbei to Bishan took about an hour. As the car left the main city, the tall buildings gradually thinned out, replaced by rolling hills and stretches of rice paddies🌾. The homestay is located in the core area of the "Yunwu Huajian" terraced fields in Batang Town, Bishan. From a distance, the white-walled and black-tiled buildings are nestled among the terraces, like an unfinished ink painting🖼. 🚪 Pushing open the wooden door of the homestay, the staff greeted me warmly and offered me a cup of warm old pear tea🍵. The room I booked was large, with a minimalist yet warm design—wooden furniture🪑, delicate ornaments🎀. What struck me most was the floor-to-ceiling window, directly facing the cascading wheat fields🌿.
