They also stop at several tourist spots along the way. 10th-11th: Oike Pond You can drink from the spring water, which is certified as one of the 100 best waters in Japan and one of the 15 best waters in Toyo Province. I went there because I wanted to see the dog, a work by Yoshitomo Nara, in the rooftop garden on the second floor. I was overwhelmed with emotion when I finally got to meet the dog. Other highlights include works by Takashi Murakami, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Yayoi Kusama. 14th photo: Tsukahara no Sato Tsukahara no Sato is a local chicken restaurant in Yufu. We went outside peak hours, but there was still a line at this popular restaurant. You can choose between a local chicken set meal, a Bungo beef set meal, or an a la carte menu. The most popular is, of course, the local chicken set meal. The local chicken is placed on binchotan charcoal and grilled by yourself. You roll the fresh meat around until the red meat disappears and it's ready to eat. Be careful not to overcook it. 15th photo: Sanshoro A Japanese kaiseki restaurant. For lunch, the "Awasebako" (a box of meat and vegetables), which looks like a jewel box, is popular. They also serve steaks and other dishes. The couple next to us were enjoying steak and red wine, and the atmosphere was perfect for a holiday. 16th photo: Butsusanji Temple It has a main hall with a copper roof, a Kannon hall made of cypress, a cedar-made kuri (restaurant's quarters), and a zazen hall.
