Rosenborg Castle in Denmark

From a tourist's perspective, the most famous castle in Denmark is Rosenborg in Copenhagen. The castle is free to enter with the Copenhagen Card. Rosenborg Castle in the city of Copenhagen is located between Nørreport Station and Kongens Nytorv Station. We lived near Kongens Nytorv so we walked directly there. I think Copenhagen's attractions are actually very concentrated, and it's super enjoyable to take a walk and enjoy the scenery. The tops of the castles in Denmark seem to all have this bronze color scheme, and they really look like pictures that would appear in fairy tales when we were kids. In addition to a large garden, Rosenborg also has a moat. There is a whole garden in front of Rosenborg, which is perfect for a picnic. Rosenborg was originally built as a summer palace, but the castle we see today was built in 1606 after Christian IV purchased more than 40 plots of land outside the walls of Copenhagen. It took 28 years and four expansions to complete the project. There are different rooms in Rosenberg. Here is a detailed introduction: Christian's bedroom, where he died on February 28, 1648. The wall and door decorations in the room, the green wall paint and the gold borders were later transformed into the "Chinese style" by Frederick III, and these "Chinese styles" were imagined based on the Chinese style at that time and the descriptions in Chinese novels. The walls of Christian IV's time were painted with floral lacquer. Christian VI's Room: It was discovered that there were many woven hangings on the walls of Nordic castles. They were not murals but woven tapestries. Christian V's Hall: Originally the living room of Christian's wife, but during the reign of Frederick III, this room was used as the king's suite, the same as the marble room in the previous picture. The marble room: This room has been renovated in modern times. It originally belonged to Christian’s wife Kirsten Munk and was renovated in Baroque style by Frederick III in 1668. Knights' Hall: This hall was the last room in the castle to be completed, with the final decoration completed in 1624. The 12 tapestries in this hall mainly tell the story of Denmark's victory in the Scandinavian War of 1675-1679. The basement contains a collection of jewelry, weapons, etc.
