📅 Itinerary Day1：Launceston- Cradle Mountain Day2: Cradle Mountain - Freycinet National Park Day3: Freycinet - Hobart - Bruny Island 🏨 Cradle Mountain - stayed at the beautiful Mole Creek Cabin; Freycinet National Park - Stayed at Dolphin Sands Cottage; Bruny Island - Stayed at Taylor Bays Cottage. All these accomodations are for group stays, they were clean, self-contained holiday houses with all the cooking utensils provided. 🍴 Aussies food choices aren’t like those in Asia, especially in places like Tasmania. But for holidays it’s obvious you would want to taste the locals like Tasmanian seafoods, at many places you can enjoy fresh oysters (need to get there early, as during summer months, many Asian tour groups in buses and once there are there it’s hard for you to get your taste of Tasmanian fresh oysters. There are many wineries that you can make the stop for, and you do need to plan carefully where do you want to have your meals during this trips. 📌 Tips 1. During peak holidays seasons, Christmas and New Year accomodations are pretty difficult to book, there are various sites you can use to make bookings. 2. Call direct to Theo holiday houses company to make sure you tell them the number of people travelling so they can prepare the appropriate numbers of bedsheets, pillow and blankets. Tasmania weather is much cooler compare to mainland Australia, even in summer, for Asians, I would suggest for you to have a thin jacket for your normal wear, and have a backup thick just in case temperatures dropped at night. 3. Book you car rental early, if you’re going to drive, during holidays seasons it’s pretty often there aren’t enough cars for rental, even if they do, prices can differ and doubled even triple of this non peak seasons. If you plan for driving in Bruny Island, suggest you get 4WD or AWD SUV, the place where I stayed at Bruny Island is actually on dirt road, for some people from HK, this may be a new experience. 4. Australian Government has published a new law in May 2025 for HK/China drivers, because of relatively many accidents caused by inexperienced drivers from city drivers. So please check with the websites. 5. If you can it’s best to go with friends or driver that are familiar with Tasmanian roads, they are smaller and much more challenging for the average city drivers from HK. 6. And if you’re not comfortable, please do not drive at night, as it’s almost pitch dark and little road lights in Tasmania tier 2 roads and above. 7.
