Dali 5D4N Ancient Town & Shuanglang B&B Recommendations My mom and I stayed in Dali for four nights, two nights in the ancient town and two nights in Shuanglang. Before the trip, I compared hotels and B&Bs on various platforms and finally chose these two. Both are worth a return visit. Ancient Town: Dali Qinyin Villa Designer B&B The location is convenient, not in the center of the ancient town, but the advantage is that cars can drive directly to the entrance of the alley. The surrounding area is not very commercialized and is very quiet. The B&B is a three-story building full of design elements. The courtyard on the first floor is very spacious, and the view from the top floor is excellent. You can see Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and you can go to the top floor to watch the sunrise in the morning. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the lobby, but it can be noisy if you stay in a room on the first floor. The breakfast and afternoon tea at the hotel are very rich, but if you eat breakfast during peak hours, you may have to wait in line. I suggest reducing the variety of breakfast a little. It's a bit too much for one person to eat a big bowl of rice noodles, pumpkin porridge, sweet potatoes, yogurt, and fruit. The room is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and there is a smart toilet. The overall space layout is very reasonable. It can be a bit cold at night, so you need to turn on the air conditioner. The receptionist is very nice and will help introduce nearby travel tips and make coffee. Shuanglang: Erhai Wake Up Sea View Inn Compared to the ancient town, this B&B in Shuanglang is more satisfying. The service, view, facilities, and location are almost perfect. The only downside is the price. We chose the Great Stone Arch Room, which faces Nanzhao Island. You can stand by the window to enjoy the beautiful view of Erhai Lake and the ferries, and experience the slow life of Dali. The B&B provides luggage delivery service, and the owner is very attentive. The room's aroma diffuser allows you to choose the essential oil scent. In addition to the air conditioner, there is also an electric heater and electric blanket in the room, so you won't feel cold at night. Breakfast and afternoon tea are very delicate, and you will receive three travel photos taken by a photographer. Overall, both B&Bs are very good and worth a return visit. The tourism service in Dali is really competitive now, which benefits tourists.
