Sunset, Seagulls, a Love Letter to Erhai Lake, Lee Anyin Seaside Villa Hotel

The moment I stepped out of the car in front of Lee Anyin La Villa De LEE·ANYIN Seaside Villa Hotel, the wind from Erhai Lake greeted me with joy. This French-style romantic villa hidden in Wenbi Village of Dali is like a white love letter written to Erhai Lake. Outside my room's window lies a sparkling blue expanse. At sunset, Erhai Lake reveals its most gentle side, breaking the reflection of Cangshan Mountain into shimmering gold foil, creating a flowing painting that transforms the entire hotel into a gallery of light. In the morning, as I draw back the curtains, the dawn light from Erhai pours through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the soft white bedding in warm colors. The gauzy canopy hanging from the headboard sways gently with the silhouette of mountains outside, making it hard to tell whether clouds have drifted into the room or mist has spread across the hills. The lamp base casts shadows of lotus patterns from the dark plaque, creating a subtle dialogue with the warm glow of the cream-colored leather sofa at the foot of the bed. Walking barefoot toward the floor-to-ceiling windows set in white architectural frames, I see a canvas where sky meets lake. Seagulls perch on rocks, spreading their wings as they skim the water's surface, their wingtips creating ripples like snow-white musical notes dancing on blue silk. They also resemble fleeting ellipses, adding a touch of poetry to the scene. As I prepared to walk from the hotel to Erhai Lake, I noticed the leaves at the entrance swaying in rhythm with the lake's ripples. A pink convertible happened to be parked at the entrance, creating a romantic artistic connection with the hotel's color scheme. The hotel's public areas are filled with artistic inspiration, offering different scenery at every hour. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool was under maintenance during my stay, otherwise I could have taken more stunning photos. Lee Anyin was the final stop of my spring trip to Dali, leaving me with many beautiful memories. I know this narrative of natural beauty will never end, because the wind of Erhai will remember that on a spring morning, someone was here, reading a prose poem called Erhai Lake together with the seagulls.
