Daocheng Yading short-term starting point [Chonggu Temple]

#AdventurousTraveler Chonggu Temple, which means "a holy temple originating from the lake", stands on a plateau at an altitude of 3,900 meters. Its history can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty. It has gone through nearly 800 years of wind and rain and is an important temple of the Yellow Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The main hall of the temple solemnly enshrines the statue of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug Sect (Yellow Sect), as well as Sakyamuni Buddha, Guanyin, Manjusri, Vajrapani and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, fully demonstrating the profound religious and cultural heritage. Starting from Yading Village, take a sightseeing bus directly to Zhaguanbeng, which is about 3,800 meters above sea level and is the starting point of the hiking trip to Chonggu Temple. It only takes about 500 meters to walk to Chonggu Temple (about 3,900 meters), which is slightly higher in altitude. This ancient and mysterious temple is gently surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains and lush forests. The natural scenery and religious atmosphere coexist harmoniously, which is refreshing and makes it a rare pilgrimage and tourist destination.
