The words "new" and "old" in the name Xinchang Ancient Town are obviously contradictory, which naturally gives rise to the desire to discover the "new". This place is close to Chengdu (an hour's drive) and is an ancient town, so it is a good place for leisure and tourism. Walk along the trail from the parking lot of the ancient town towards the core area. Two minutes later, you will see a series of display boards placed in front of a row of two-story houses on the right. Stop and look up to see the red door plaque "Three Plus Two Reading Club" inscribed by Mr. Liushahe (a modern Chinese poet, writer, scholar, and calligrapher). Take a closer look at the display board, which tells a story about the budding and practice of enabling rural people to realize "freedom of reading" nearby. The Three Plus Two Reading Club is a rural public welfare library and a rural innovation center. The layout of the library is simple and clear. The middle of the first floor hall is arranged as a rural innovation exhibition hall. On the left is the reading space, and to the right is the cultural and creative tea and coffee place. The second floor is a homestay and classroom (in total there are three meeting rooms of different sizes). The Three Plus Two Reading Club is surrounded by flowers, plants and trees. The gorgeous bougainvillea and golden ginkgo leaves capture the four seasons here. Small cultural and creative products and small meat bonsai constantly bring surprises and joy. Sit down and walk around, and there are books available wherever you go. Go to Xinchang, bring donated books (even if they have already been outlined), and tell us your feelings. Only then will the story of books and people continue to extend.
