| Croatia | Dubrovnik | Old Town | If you are a big fan of Game of Thrones, you must know the Old Town of Dubrovnik. It is the filming location of King’s Landing, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms in the drama, and has been favored by many tourists in recent years. Although the ancient city is not large, I chose to spend three days and two nights to travel around the city. I have purchased a 3-day Dubrovnik card online, which includes free city bus and attraction admission, so I don’t have to worry about the itinerary for these three days. Heading south from Mostar to Dubrovnik, this was my second stop in Croatia. Europe was hit by a heat wave at the time, with temperatures reaching 36°C. I got off the bus with two backpacks on my back and was sweating profusely within ten minutes. First go to the youth hostel to put down your backpack, change your clothes, and then go out. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the youth hostel to the ancient city. Under the heat wave, it was quite tiring for L to walk (actually I was too lazy to find a bus...). Fortunately, there were sea views and sea breezes along the way. The highlight of the ancient city is to walk around the city wall. What was waiting for me under the city wall was a sea of ​​orange. I had often seen densely packed orange roofs on TV, and today I had the chance to see them with my own eyes. If Chefchaouen in Morocco is the blue paradise, then Dubrovnik is the orange city. Even though it was past three in the afternoon, the sun was still shining brightly and the temperature of over 30 degrees did not hinder my determination to walk around the city. It took two to three hours to walk around, and we were always exposed to the sun. It was quite tiring to climb up and down the various forts. The only advantage is that there are fewer tourists during this period, so the journey is smooth. Known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic", it is a popular holiday destination for Europeans, which has caused prices in the ancient city to soar a bit and made it more commercialized, but the charm of the medieval ancient city remains undiminished.
