Trip to Dujiangyan, China 🇨🇳

It was a trip to Dujiangyan, China 🇨🇳 We kicked off our day by visiting the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, one of the oldest and most advanced irrigation systems in the world 🌎 The engineering marvel was built during the Qin Dynasty, and it’s still in operation today, providing water 💦 to the region. The site itself is incredibly picturesque, with flowing rivers, lush greenery 🌳 and ancient structures that make it perfect for photos 📸 The peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to see why this place is so revered. 📍Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan After learning about the fascinating irrigation system, we visited Erwang Temple, dedicated to the legendary figures Li Bing and his son, who are credited with designing the irrigation system. The temple itself is set amidst beautiful greenery 🌱 and offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains ⛰️ The peaceful ambiance and the stunning architecture made it a perfect spot for some spiritual reflection and photography 📸 📍Erwang Temple, Dujiangyan, Chengdu, Sichuan In the afternoon, we headed to Mount Qingcheng ⛰️ one of the most famous Taoist mountains in China. The mountain is covered in lush forests 🌳 and the temples and pathways lead you through peaceful, serene surroundings. We took a leisurely hike up to enjoy the views, explore ancient Taoist temples, and snap some beautiful photos of the mist-covered peaks. It’s a perfect combination of nature and spirituality 🙌 📍Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area, Dujiangyan, Chengdu, Sichuan Before heading back to Chengdu, we explored the lively streets of Dujiangyan’s city center. The city has a charming blend of ancient architecture and modern development, with small shops and cafes ☕️ perfect for unwinding. We enjoyed a peaceful evening stroll along the streets, soaking in the local culture. The best part? The city comes alive at night with street food vendors and local music 🎶 definitely a great way to end the day 🙌 📍Dujiangyan City Center, Dujiangyan, Chengdu, Sichuan #discoverchina #travel #vacation
