Indonesian Miniature Park

The Indonesian Miniature Park is located 10 kilometers south of Jakarta and is the world's first 'miniature park' introducing territorial knowledge. The park was proposed by President Suharto's wife in 1971. Construction officially began in July 1972 and was completed on April 20, 1975. The topography and landscapes of all 27 provinces in Indonesia, and the diverse architectural styles, are all built to scale. Here you can enjoy the tropical scenery of Sumatra, see the solemn and elegant white temples and the world-famous small stupas of Borobudur on Java Island, you can also wander in the 'tropical rainforest' on Irian Jaya Island, see the ancient and old single-wood boats, high-level thatched huts built with tree trunks, and the dazzling palaces in the coconut groves, etc. Most of the buildings and figures in the park are made of clay, which can be described as a collection of Indonesian clay sculpture art.
