📍Getting here: I took the early train from Hull to Waverley station which took 4hrs. Once you arrive: Walk through Princes Street Gardens, here you can look up to the Edinburgh castle 🏰 and also visit the Ross Fountain ⛲️ Photo spots 📷 : You can visit Water of Leith Walkway through Dean Village and head towards Circus Lane, a small street full of flowers 🌺 Coffee ☕️: At the end of Circus Lane there’s a plant shop called Grow Urban which also do excellent coffee. You can sit by the window and relax whilst surrounded by greenery 🪴 Day time visits: During the day you can walk the Royal Mile, starting at the hill top castle through the old town and finishing at the historic palace. ✅Tip: If you’re interested in learning the history of some spots down the royal mile, download the Rick Steves Audio App for the free audio tour guide🎧 National Galleries of Scotland: visit here to see some amazing art both Scottish and European works 🖼️ (entry is free) 🌒 In the evening if you’ve got the energy you can walk up to Arthur’s Seat to see one of the best views of the city 🌃 If you’re a Harry Potter fan you can visit the Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery where JK Rowling got the inspiration for some of the characters names like Thomas Riddell and Mcgonagall 🪦
