It is the tallest monument to a writer in the world. Standing 61 metres (200 feet) tall, it stands out in Edinburgh's New Town. It can be easily spotted from a distance, and its shape resembles a rocket ready to take off, making it one of the main #historicallandmarks in the New Town. The spire of this amazing memorial tower is designed in Victorian Gothic style, with 68 small statues on both sides, which are imitations of characters from other Scottish writers and Scott's novels.
