The beautiful Esztergom cathedral is absolutely worth visiting. It's temporarily under renovation, but it's still possible to visit and enter for free. It is located on a hill, where there's a beautiful panorama on the Danube and Slovakia. It is the capital of the catholic church in Hungary. It's easy to access by walking and parking is nearby. The city is conveniently reachable by train from Budapest.
