#europetrip One of the best experiences in Santorini was hiking from Fira to Oia—a scenic 10km (6-mile) trail that took us through stunning caldera views, charming villages, and dramatic cliffs. It was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, offering some of the most incredible panoramas of the island! 🥾 The Hike: We started in Fira, walking past Firostefani and Imerovigli, where we stopped to admire the famous Skaros Rock. The path alternated between cobbled streets, rocky trails, and open cliffside walks with uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea. The final stretch into Oia was absolutely magical, with the iconic white-washed buildings coming into view just as the sun started to set. ⏳ Duration: Around 3–4 hours, depending on pace and photo stops. ☀️ Tips: ✔️ Start early or in the late afternoon to avoid the midday sun. ✔️ Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. ✔️ Stop for a break in Imerovigli—it has the best caldera views along the route! Reaching Oia after this rewarding hike felt incredible, and we treated ourselves to a delicious meal with squid ink risotto and Greek salad as a perfect way to end the adventure!
