Norwegian Preikestolen

The Pulpit, also known as the Pulpit Stone, is a free tourist attraction in Strand, Rogaland County, Norway. If you drive, you need to pay for parking. CNNGO, a travel and lifestyle website under CNN, once selected the 50 most magnificent natural landscapes in the world, with Preikestolen ranking first. It is a steep cliff on the north side of the fjord near the western part of the Lysefjord. It rises almost vertically from the level of the Lysefjord to the top of the cliff at an altitude of 604 meters. It is a flat boulder of about 25*25 meters without any vegetation. The hiking trail for tourists from the foot of the mountain to the Pulpit is 4.8 kilometers long. The trail leading to the Pulpit is not a trail in the conventional sense, but a mountain climbing path made entirely of natural boulders or man-made stones of various sizes. In our hometown, we usually call mountaineering "climbing the mountain", but we have been talking about this word for decades. Only when I went to the pulpit, I actually climbed the net using my hands and feet, which can be called real "climbing the mountain". When we got to the pulpit, I always wanted to take pictures at the edge of the cliff, even though I was rarely photographed. But I was so scared that I didn't even dare to put both legs on the cliff (the last photo). The three girls were quite brave.
