[Shurinji Temple] Lantern-lit cherry blossoms

I visit Shurinji Temple every year. This year, I was shown a magnificent bonbori cherry blossom. This cherry blossom variety is called Itozakura, and has small petals. The tree is said to be 130 years old, and is called bonbori cherry blossom because its appearance in full bloom resembles a snow lantern (bonbori). The good thing about this temple is that it has not been strangely turned into a tourist spot, and you can see the cherry blossoms in their natural state. I think this is supported by the extraordinary efforts and sense of those who manage the cherry blossoms. After enjoying the bonbori cherry blossoms, I left the temple, hoping to see the magnificent bonbori cherry blossoms again next year. #sakura2024
