Beautiful

Most of the park is a large lake, and three islands in the center of the lake are connected by bridges. They are Yanagishima Island, Matsushima Island, and Ayameshima Island. Three of the four bridges connecting each island are registered as cultural properties of Fukuoka City. Ohori Park was built to protect the castle when Fukuoka Castle was built. It is said that the name ”Ohori“ came from the pit dug around the castle wall. The walking path around the lake with 3,000 willow trees planted is very beautiful. Various types of trees such as weeping willows, ginkgo trees, magnolias, tulips, and sunflowers are planted throughout Ohori Park #favouriteairline #couplestrip #fukuoka

Ohori Park

#ohoripark was constructed between 1926 and 1929 and designed after the classical garden style of the West Lake in China. There are three islands in the middle of the pond that are connected to the mainland and each other by elegant stone bridges #fukuoka #japan #travelinspiration #lakeview #happynewyear
