The palace at the heart of the gardens

At the centre of the stunning Monte palace tropical gardens lies the palace itself. Converted into an estate by Englishman, Charles Murray during the 18th century the village was a way for wealthy inhabitants to escape the islands heat during the summer months and provides a stunning view across the whole southern coastline as well as the central mountains to the north. #celebrateit #palace #madeira
