Mawei | Fujian Shipping Administration Building Complex

The Fujian Shipping Administration Building is located on the west side of Maxian Mountain. It was built by Zuo Zongtang during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and continued by Shen Baozhen. The main buildings include the yamen, bell tower, dock, iron factory, painting academy, and official hall. These buildings are an important part of the Shipping Administration. They not only show the history and function of the Shipping Administration, but also reflect the technical level and cultural characteristics of the time. Due to their important historical and cultural value, they have been listed as the fifth batch of national cultural relics protection units.
