Touching the Sky at Daecheongbong

#summervacay Whew, what a trek! Daecheongbong Peak, the highest point in Seoraksan National Park, seriously delivered the goods. The air gets crisper the higher you climb, and the views? Unreal. I started early, like just-past-dawn early, and it was totally worth it. Birds chirping, sunlight poking through the mist, and that peaceful, mountain stillness… chef’s kiss. The trail isn’t exactly a walk in the park, it’s got some steep, leg-burning stretches, but it’s not too brutal either if you pace yourself. Every rest stop came with killer views, so no complaints there. Once I hit the summit, clouds floating below, ridgelines stretching forever, and this insane feeling of calm. There’s a little sign at the top for those classic summit pics, and trust me, you’ll wanna snap a few. Bring snacks, plenty of water, and layers, weather can flip quick up there. Daecheongbong’s not just a hike, it’s an experience. Totally recommend if you're down for a day of nature and sweat!
