Gombae-ryeong? More Like Gombae-Right-On!

#summervacay So I ended up wandering through Gombae-ryeong in Gangwon-do, and what a vibe. It’s this peaceful mountain pass that feels like someone hit pause on the world. The air? Crisp. The views? Totally screensaver-worthy. I wasn’t even planning on hiking, but next thing I know, I’m halfway up a trail with a big goofy smile on my face. There were barely any people, just a few locals and some hardcore hikers. I even stumbled across this tiny roadside restaurant with the BEST kimchi stew I’ve ever had, like, I’m still thinking about it. If you’re into dramatic trees, misty roads, and quiet that hits you in the soul, Gombae-ryeong is it. It’s not touristy, not flashy, just that low-key, peaceful energy we all need sometimes. Bring a camera, bring a snack, and maybe bring a buddy to yell “whoa” with. 10/10, would get lost here again.
