A one-day tour in Ganzhou

The main attractions for a one-day tour in Ganzhou include: Wei Family Courtyard, Zao'er Alley, Ancient Floating Bridge, Ancient City Wall, Bajing Terrace, Yugu Terrace, and Song Dynasty Night City. These attractions are all free of charge and are concentrated in the old town of Ganzhou. Wei Family Courtyard is also a Hakka Culture Museum of Southern Jiangxi. It's quite interesting to find a guide and listen to the stories. Zao'er Alley is an ancient street from the Southern Song Dynasty, preserving many historical buildings. The alley is not long, but worth a visit. After passing through Zao'er Alley and walking a short distance, you will reach Jianchun Gate of the Ancient City Wall. Outside the gate is the Ancient Floating Bridge, which is composed of about 100 wooden boats and planks. Walking along the city wall, you can reach Bajing Terrace, which was built in the Song Dynasty. From this terrace, you can overlook the eight scenic spots of Ganzhou, hence the name Bajing Terrace. Continuing along the city wall, you will arrive at the former residence of Chiang Ching-kuo. Then, head to Yugu Terrace, which was built in the Tang Dynasty. It is famous for Xin Qiji's poem 'Bodhisattva Man: Under Yugu Terrace the Clear River Flows'. However, the view from the terrace is generally obstructed by the surrounding trees. Next to Yugu Terrace is the Song Dynasty Night City, which is mainly a place for photography and food. It looks even better and more lively at night.
