The wooden Mireukjeon is the only three-story Buddhist temple in Korea and is said to be the largest in the world. Among the three Buddhas, the Mireuk Buddha is 11.82m tall and the Buddha statues on the left and right are 8.8m tall. It is said to be beautiful with cherry blossoms in the spring, playing in the valley water in the summer, autumn leaves in the fall, and the snow-covered landscape in the winter. It is also the unfortunate place where King Gyeon Hwon of Later Baekje was forcibly imprisoned by his eldest son, Singeom. It is said that the drama Taegeon Wang Geon-dye Gyeon Hwon's final years of imprisonment and escape from Geumsansa Temple were filmed here, making it even more famous. I recommend parking at the Moaksan Parking Lot (free) and going. You can enjoy playing in the water in the valley on the way and resting on the flat ground (free), so it would be better to prepare a simple picnic and go. Geumsansa Temple parking lot is paid.
