The animal museum in the zoo is one of the oldest museums in the Middle East, as it was established in 1906, and includes models of rare mummified animals, skeletons, skins, and skulls of most wild animals, birds, and reptiles. It contains 1,800 species of rare and extinct animals, including mummified mammals, reptiles, birds and insects.
