UNESCO registration of Baekbeom Kim Gu and Magoksa Mountain Temple

The zelkova tree that Baekbeom Kim Gu planted when he returned after liberation around 1945 while practicing at Magoksa Temple is still growing. Magoksa Temple is one of the mountain temples in Korea registered by UNESCO. Magoksa Temple is the 6th main temple of the Jogye Order and is a historic temple founded around the 7th century during the Baekje Dynasty. It takes about 1-2 hours to walk around this wonderful mountain temple.
