A gem next to the cathedral

Andalucia Tour ~ Granada If you walk through the city center to the right of the main facade of the Cathedral you will find this gem. From 6pm to 8pm, you can enter without any problems if there is no religious ceremony. It is of late Gothic or Elizabethan style and was built in 1504 by order of the Catholic kings as a burial place for their remains. The most interesting place is the mausoleum. The work of the Florentine sculptor Domenico Fancelli, the figures of the two monarchs are reclining. The king is dressed in full armor and cloak, holding a sword in both hands. The Queen is depicted in a simple manner, with her hands resting lightly on her body. There are two lions under the monarch's feet, symbolizing royal power and vigilance. They have a dress code at the entrance but you can dress as you want, they don't force you to follow it.
