Zhaohua Ancient Town: A thousand-year echo from the depths of time

In February 2023, I went to Jianmen Pass with my friends. I didn’t climb the mountain 🤭 but only took a few photos at the foot of the mountain. On the way back, we stepped into the ancient town of Zhaohua, as if we had traveled through a time tunnel of thousands of years. The bluestone road winds forward, with rows of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties on both sides, with flying eaves, carved beams and painted rafters, telling of the prosperity and glory of the past. The ancient town is not big, but it is full of scenery. Jiameng Pass was once a battleground for military strategists, but now only broken walls and ruins remain. However, one can still feel the murderous aura of the war. Longmen Academy is simple and elegant, with the fragrance of books in the air. You can almost hear the sound of students reading aloud. Strolling through the streets of the ancient town, the air is filled with a strong flavor of life. In the teahouses on the street, old people leisurely sip tea, chat and enjoy the slow pace of life. Zhaohua Ancient Town is like a thick history book, with every page filled with stories. Here, you can slow down, savor the charm of history, feel the passage of time, and find inner peace.
