Late June 2025, I set off on an 8-day, 7-night journey through Guizhou—despite warnings of floods, road closures, and relentless rain. I almost cancelled. But I didn’t. And that made all the difference. Here’s what I found instead: ✅ Huangguoshu Waterfall roaring at full force—rain-fed and breathtaking ✅ Fanjing Mountain conquered in the rain, with cloud-wrapped cliffs and heavenly views ✅ Zhenyuan Ancient Town—China’s original “Pai”, with lantern-lit riverside charm ✅ Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village—wore traditional costume, climbed hilltop cafés, felt like a tribal chief ✅ Zhijin Cave—a massive underground wonderland that took over 2 hours to explore ✅ Last night in Guiyang—found a buffet with unlimited wagyu, oysters, foie gras, and sake for under RM100 (yes, really) ☔ The rain followed me almost everywhere—but it brought mist, mystery, and magic. 📍Travel Period: June 26 – July 3, 2025 🚘 Route: Guiyang → Huangguoshu → Qingyan Ancient Town → Fanjing Mountain → Zhenyuan → Xijiang Miao Village → Zhijin Cave → Guiyang 📌 Tips: Always keep your plans flexible—weather changes fast in Guizhou.
