Yellow Sansuyu Flowers in Gurye Sansuyu Village

The village of Sansuyu in Gurye is now covered with vibrant yellow Sansuyu flowers. I visited the Gurye Sansuyu Village early in the morning as the festival started on the 15th, and the village was already filled with blooming Sansuyu flowers! The beautiful Gurye Sansuyu Village, where yellow Sansuyu flowers bloom throughout, consists of Sansuyu Park, Bangok Village, Hawi Village, and Sangwi Village. Each neighborhood offers a unique experience of exploring the flowers. My favorite, Bangok Village, has about 80-90% of the flowers in full bloom, while Hawi and Sangwi Villages are at about 50-60%. The entire village hasn’t reached full bloom yet, so you can still enjoy the beautiful scenery even after the festival ends next week. Sansuyu flowers show their most vibrant colors when the sun is fully up. Since the village is surrounded by Jirisan Mountain, sunlight reaches the area a bit later than sunrise, so visiting after 8 AM will give you the best view.
