Exploring Gumi: A Chill Day in Korea’s Underrated City

#summervacay So, I spent a day in Gumi (yeah, that city in Gyeongsang) and honestly? Kinda loved it. It’s not flashy like Seoul or packed with tourists like Busan, but that’s what makes it cool. First stop was Geumosan Mountain, took the cable car because I’m not that adventurous. The view? 10/10. Super peaceful up there, plus some random temples along the trails that were surprisingly calming. Walked around downtown after, it’s got that old-school Korean vibe mixed with modern touches. Popped into a local café (forgot the name, sorry lol) and had the fluffiest matcha latte ever. Also tried some street food near the station, spicy tteokbokki that burned my mouth but in a good way. Gumi might not be on your bucket list, but if you’re in the area, totally worth a stop. Chill, friendly, and just different enough to feel like a little adventure. Would def go back for the vibes alone.
