Jirisan Summit Was a Beast (But Worth It)

It’s the kind of hike that makes you question all your choices halfway through, but then rewards you with insane views and major bragging rights. I started early (like, before-sunrise early), and the trail was no joke, long, steep, and relentless in parts. But the scenery? Next level. Dense forests, misty vibes, waterfalls, wildflowers, it felt like five different hikes packed into one. And when you finally hit Cheonwangbong (the summit), it’s a total “wow” moment. Clouds swirling below, wind blasting in your face, everyone around you high-fiving strangers like it’s Everest. Bring layers, it gets cold up top, and all the snacks. You’ll be out there for hours. Also, your legs will hate you the next day, but your camera roll will love you. Would I do it again? Honestly... probably. Jirisan is tough love, but it's kind of unforgettable.
