#passionpassport#passionpassport it was a first cruise at this location after almost 30 years and it’s a totally different kind of enjoyment. back in 1993, a day cruise was on a wooden boat helmed by a captain and no one else. during the cruise, we stopped to buy fish, prawns and other seafoods as well as vegetables from a lady rowing towards us in a round basket boat. it was a fantastic sight to see how that lady could paddle a round basket in the water, going forward. our cruise boat also stopped at some location where the water was crystal clear and we jumped off the boat into the blue water. we also visited a cave, climbing into the high entrance to view some writing on the ceiling which was about 40 to 50 feet up from the ground. after entering the cave to explore, we exited at the other side of the cave. it was really an extraordinary journey for me. this present day cruise was not so exciting although I did stopped at one island where people were enjoying the beach and some climbed up to the pavilion at top of the hill for a good view of the bay. the current cruise is relaxing though, dining room and bar on board. it’s a totally different kind of enjoyment from the good old days. I look forward to enjoy another cruise in the not so distance future. I wish to have a relaxing time cruising Ha Long Bay. visiting Vietnam after the pandemic and no restrictions and quarantine was really a boon
