Bai Sha Lake on the Pamir Plateau in Xinjiang is like a pure pearl inlaid on the plateau, located in the Pamir Mountains in Kashgar, Xinjiang. Bai Sha Lake, also known as Kekelake Lake, is a plateau lake with an area of 44 square kilometers. It was originally the confluence of the Mujie River, the Bulenkou River, and the Kangxiwa River. Later, a dam was built artificially to block the water of the three rivers, forming a plateau artificial reservoir with an area of 44 square kilometers. The mountains on the bank of the reservoir are covered with white sand and are called Bai Sha Mountain. Bai Sha Lake is a rare beautiful lake on the plateau at an altitude of 3,300 meters.
