According to legend, during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, Monk Yinzhen went to Haifeng to beg for alms. There were several earthquakes in the area. In order to ward off evil spirits and gather blessings for Haifeng, Yinzhen built a temple near Lianhua Mountain. In the middle of the night, one could hear roosters crowing in the mountain, so the temple was named "Jiming Temple." Before entering the temple, we could already see the Buddha statue in the mountains from afar. It looked particularly spiritual amid the clouds and rain. From Ksitigarbha Pavilion, to the Hall of Heavenly Kings, to the Big Buddha Statue, Bell and Drum Tower, etc., you can drive directly to the mountain, but if you walk you will need to climb the stairs.
