Haining Museum - Lantern Museum

One of the main reasons I came to Haining, Jiaxing, was to see the Haining Lantern Festival, a local specialty. There is a lantern show in the Nanguanxiang Historical and Cultural District these days, and to get a better look, I went to the Lantern Museum at the Haining Museum to appreciate the charm of the lanterns. 📍Detailed address: Haining Museum is a third-class museum, and the exhibits I am most interested in are the Haining Lanterns, which are different from those in other places. It is located opposite Xishan Park, about 600 meters from Haining Railway Station. 🌟Highlights: The Lantern Museum is on the second floor of the museum, with various exhibits of Haining Lanterns. As an intangible cultural heritage, you can learn about the whole picture of Haining Lanterns here. Haining Lanterns are indeed the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage. The Lantern Museum fully displays the history and development of Haining Lanterns, as well as various techniques. You can see dragon boat lanterns, teapot lanterns, vase lanterns, bead curtain umbrellas, pinzi pavilions, cornucopias, and more. Especially the little animals in the lanterns, they look really lifelike and very cute. 📝Tips: To really get to know a city, you must visit the local museum and appreciate the essence of the city.
