Haining is home to Ziwei Mountain, where the poet Xu Zhimo is buried!

Ziwei Mountain, also known as Xishan, stands alongside Dongshan (Shenshan). The mountain's peak is 47.5 meters above sea level and was praised as the "First Peak of Haichang" by the early Ming Dynasty poet Bei Qiong. Legend has it that the two mountains were once one, known as Xiashi Mountain, before being split by Qin Shi Huang. The mountain is home to Ziwei Pavilion, where Bai Juyi, a scholar of the Tang Dynasty, once climbed to view Xiashi Lake. The Zhongshu Sheng (Central Secretariat) was later renamed Ziwei Sheng. On the north slope, beside Baishui Spring, are the tombs of Xu Zhimo and Qian Jundian. On the west slope is the Qian Juntao Art Museum, and on the south slope are the Former Residence of Zhang Zongxiang and the Xu Bangda Art Museum, making the mountain the cultural center and highland of Haining City. Huili Temple on the south slope was built by Zhang Yanguang, a minister of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, on his own property. The Huili Temple Stone Pillar was first built in the 15th year of the Xiantong period of the Tang Dynasty (874) and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. Huili Temple, Ziwei Bridge, and the Japanese Invasion Watchtower are cultural relic protection units of Haining City, while Guangfu Temple and Xu Zhimo's Tomb are cultural relic protection sites of Haining City. Xishan Park to the north is the oldest public garden in Haining. Of the "Twelve Scenic Spots of Xiachuan," Ziwei Spring Dawn, Xisi Smoke Bell, Crane Pavilion Fairy Cave, Shangfang Morning Breeze, and Fang'an Evening Meditation are all located on Xishan.
