Fukuoka|Take a cruise to Japan and South Korea and enjoy the unparalleled sea view and hot springs on the Shinyama Camellia

Taking advantage of the cherry blossom viewing, I arranged a trip to Japan and South Korea, and chose the New Camellia Cruise for the connecting part. Many travel guides online are from Busan to Fukuoka, but this time I took the opposite route. Take the BRT from Fukuoka Station and arrive at the International Passenger Terminal in about 20 minutes. The ferry from Fukuoka to Busan is from 12:30 to 18:30, and check-in and ticket exchange begin at around 10:30; customs inspection begins at around 11:30. The majority of passengers on the ship are Koreans, with foreigners and Japanese tourists making up a minority. Interestingly, Korean tourists may be familiar with the route and will queue with their luggage. There are duty-free shops in the terminal building, which sell similar things to those sold at the airport. The ship has five floors, with floors 3 to 5 being guest rooms. The cruise ship is not luxurious, but simple and clean. The restaurant does not serve meals during daytime flights, but passengers can buy frozen food from vending machines and heat it up for consumption, including beer, drinks, pasta, and instant noodles. There are also game rooms and karaoke bars for the kids to have fun. The most special thing is the big bathhouse on the boat, which is open from 12:00 to 16:00. I took some photos when it first opened and no one was using it yet. It was quite comfortable to soak in the hot spring and enjoy the entire sea view. The guest rooms are divided into large bunk beds, first-class rooms (upper and lower bunks) and special rooms (double bed rooms). Since I only had a quick nap during the day, I chose a large bunk bed. The one-way ticket cost about NT$2,000. If you want to visit both countries at once, this may be a good choice. 📍Hakata International Passenger Terminal Address: 14 Okihama-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture 812-0031 #MarchGoodPlaces2025
