Shizuoka - A gourmet tour of Lake Hamana

I wanted to eat delicious seafood in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture! So I stayed at DAIWA ROYAL HOTEL THE HAMANAKO. In summer, wind chimes are displayed at the entrance, and they greet you with a beautiful sound every time you enter. The view from the room is excellent, with a great view of Lake Hamana. After taking a break at the hotel and admiring the view, I went to Unagi Kappo Yasukawa to eat eel from Lake Hamana for dinner. I was able to use a domestic travel support coupon, so I was very satisfied with the fragrant and fluffy eel from Lake Hamana at a great price without paying anything! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also good. The next day, I wanted to eat delicious seafood again, so I was driving around Lake Hamana and came across a Japanese set meal restaurant called Michitomo, so I decided to go in. The restaurant was decorated with many maneki-neko (beckoning cats), and the nostalgic and warm atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel at ease. Here we had the sashimi set meal. My husband had the fried scallop set meal. Both came with chawanmushi (savory egg custard). It gets busy at lunchtime so we had to wait a bit in the car, but we were able to eat a large amount of delicious seafood so we decided to wait patiently. There are tatami rooms available, but if you have a small group you can also eat at the counter seats at the large table. Shizuoka Prefecture is famous for its tea, but it's also close to the sea so be sure to come and try the seafood dishes!
