Hotel Experience: Hangzhou Zixuan||In recent years, I've been visiting Hangzhou throughout the seasons while living in Shanghai. Having been there many times, I'm no longer in a rush to visit tourist spots. Instead, I enjoy experiencing the changes of the seasons, as well as different hotels and cuisines. This time, I chose Hangzhou Zixuan. The number of rooms is limited, so I booked a courtyard room two months in advance. The butler contacted us a month ahead to confirm details. With 24-hour butler service, they thoughtfully delivered takeout, made restaurant and SPA reservations for us. The room comes with a private courtyard, nestled among towering trees. It's also a nice choice for a summer retreat. The bathroom amenities are from Acqua di Parma, the cups are Givenchy, and the sound system is Marshall. Aside from wine and spirits, everything in the mini-bar is replenished daily for free. For breakfast, you can choose from Japanese, Chinese, or English set meals. Dinner was at the hotel's Black Pearl restaurant: Jie Xiang Lou, with exquisite dishes, attentive service, and decent taste, though not astonishing. If there's a downside: the wooden structure's sound insulation is weak, and at night you can hear planes flying over the roof. It's not recommended for those with poor sleep or nervous disorders.
