Hangzhou Travel | The Deep Tranquility of Tianmu Mountain

Traveling to Tianmu Mountain with my sister, we listened to the melodious patter of rain, walked with light and graceful steps, and gazed up at the valleys deep in the mountains, immersing ourselves in such serenity. Initially, Tianmu Mountain was shrouded in a thin mist. The summer forest was cool and pleasant; the architecture of Chanyuan Temple was extremely elegant, inspiring sincere prayers; small boats drifted leisurely on Qingshan Lake, where we encountered egrets perched on branches - truly peaceful. I highly recommend driving to most mountain attractions as it's much more convenient than public transportation. The navigation makes it easy to follow the roads. Tianmu Grand Valley Although the streams in the valley wind and twist, and huge rocks are scattered randomly, there's only one sightseeing path, making it easy to walk. Thoughtfully, the scenic area has built a covered walkway, protecting visitors from intense summer sun and rain, though you should still watch out for slippery conditions. On sunny days, you can try the open-air path beside it. Walking along the valley boardwalk, we heard the gentle sound of springs and occasionally saw hardworking mules - the local porters. We stopped to admire the views every few steps, making the walk effortless. Many rocks have been specially carved into shapes of crabs and frogs. The spring water flowing down from the mountain is crystal clear - you could even taste it if it weren't raining. An ancient temple remains in the forest, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. The valley is flanked by lush woods, wildflowers, and birdsong; the deep forest, fresh air, static boulders, and rushing streams create nature's symphony. Small, scattered waterfalls appear frequently on the mountainside, creating mesmerizing scenes. When tired, you can rest in the pavilions and listen to the echoing sounds of waterfalls in the forest. Due to increasing rain, we didn't take the cable car, leaving a small regret. Chanyuan Temple The temple is a place of devotion where playfulness should be avoided. Nestled among green mountains and forests, it has produced many eminent monks throughout history. Qingshan Lake Surrounded by mountains with an excellent ecological environment. The area features dense pine and bamboo forests with drifting clouds and mist, creating a serene environment. Some describe Qingshan Lake's scenery in four phrases: trees grow in water, boats sail through forests, birds sing in branches, people walk in paintings. Florence Iris Guesthouse Nestled in the mountains, it feels very peaceful. The overall design combines Eastern and Western elements, with creative lighting design and decorations. Looking out the window, you can see rolling mountains shrouded in mist, like a fairyland. You can also swim in the outdoor infinity pool - very relaxing. In the evening, enjoy a coffee while watching the hotel's new kittens scampering about - absolutely adorable. Qingshan Lake Fish Restaurant Located at the entrance of Qingshan Lake Scenic Area, you can taste the most authentic Qingshan Lake fresh fish here. The prices are reasonable when ordering dishes for a group.
